Update: March 13, 2012 – Back on November 25th I held a book signing event to benefit Starbucks, ”Create Jobs for USA” program. I was able to work with two of Starbucks finest representatives, Jean Manning, a District Manager for Starbucks in Houston, TX and Jeannie Ng, the Store Manager for Starbucks at the 5767 Woodway Dr. Location (Woodway and Augusta), also in Houston. With their help and the help of all the great customers that invested in books, it was a successful event. The book signing is long over, however the need for small and entrepreneurial businesses to gain access to the financing they need to help create and sustain jobs is not. For that reason, I want to take a moment to refocus on the program.
“Create Jobs for USA” is an ongoing national program from Starbucks. To launch the project, the Starbucks Foundation donated the first $5,000,000. Since then, Starbucks has continue to promote the program at all of its USA locations. There are a number of great success stories already. You can read about them at “Create Jobs for USA”. It is a wonderful program that is making a difference for entrepreneurs right here in the USA. I encourage you to visit your local Starbucks in the USA and support the program.
