Houston, TX – Best-Selling Author, Sales and Management Expert, Award-winning Filmmaker and Entrepreneur, Richard Tyler, signed on to join Abundance Studios™ as a Producer. One year ago this month, Richard decided to join Abundance Studios™ because of their mutually shared vision of making groundbreaking documentary and inspirational films. Richard understands the value of storytelling, and the compassion and focus he brings to every venture, he will be an asset to the studio and offer a unique perspective in relation to the films Abundance Studios™ is creating.
Abundance Studios was founded in 2020 by multiple Emmy® award winning Director, Nick Nanton, and Emmy® award winning producer, JW Dicks, with the mission to use film as a tool to advance abundant thinking and action in our global landscape. By focusing on sharing the stories of incredible people, causes, technologies, and more, Abundance Studios™ aims to inspire and uplift people with their films and spark positive change.
Abundance Studios™ currently has four films in development. “The Truth About Reading” is being filmed in conjunction with the John Corcoran Foundation and is slated to premiere in the fall of 2022. This documentary is an in-depth look into the literacy deficiency in the US.
“It’s Happening Right Here,” a documentary that reveals the reality of child trafficking in America and aims to educate the population on why and how this happens, in hopes of saving millions of lives will make its national theatrical debut November 3, 2022. The film will be in theaters one day only in conjunction with Fathom Events with proceeds going to help Operation Underground Railroad in the fight to end sex trafficking and sexual exploitation by assisting in rescuing and supporting thousands of survivors in 30 countries and 50 U.S. states.
A documentary about the life of beloved ESPN college basketball announcer Dick Vitale, titled “Dickie V” which was produced along with ESPN Films. This powerful and inspirational film is currently streaming on ESPN+ and Disney+ streaming services.
Additionally, a documentary about negotiation tactics, which will feature the former Head of the FBI Hostage Negotiation Team, Chris Voss, titled “Tactical Empathy: The Black Swan” is nearing completion.
